After some deliberation about what outfits to bring to Paris (an important matter. It is Paris, after all) I finished packing my clothes and essentials. My tennis equipment and tournament clothes have already been confirmed to have arrived ahead of time, which is my most pressing concern taken care of.

I won't be leaving for another few days, but after a fiasco in China last year I developed a habit of making sure my luggage arrives at my destination before I do, and my coach is already there anyway.

Since I finished packing sooner than expected, however, I decided to stick some time into doing my share of spring cleaning on the wall Kamio-kun and I have appointed to serve as our post-it wall. Perhaps if we want to continue using it as a means of communication as well as a personal bulletin and reminders space we should implement some sort of ritual preening habit to periodically clear up space for new entries.

(The post-it informing me where you put my socks was covered by a note with a recipe for goya-tarts, but I've recovered them now, thank you. I would not have considered checking my nightstand drawer for them in time for packing.)

I figure there's no real reason to keep reminders for dates long past or old shopping lists, but there's a few mystifying entries I'd like to get context on. Out of those, the following four leave me with the most questions;

Of course, Kamio-kun's entries on the wall aren't neccesarily the only mysterious ones. I've found one of my own informing me to 'make sure to feed the snake', and another telling me to get 'three tomatoes, fresh lettuce, eggplant, two frogs, leg'. I do not recall snakes and/or requiring two frogs or any legs within recent weeks.

Another one of my own informed me to 'Call Gishi-san.' I don't know who that is. I actually looked through my teacher and class roster just to make sure, but I genuinely haven't a clue.

I welcome both actual context and interesting speculation on both my own and Kamio-kun's more mysterious post-it note entries. Perhaps it'll jog a memory.

P.S. I didn't take the adventures of Goya-kun the cool goya down because of my spring cleaning, I decided to bring it along for moral support. I'll put it back where it belongs when I return.

And it'll catch up with you sooner rather than later. The longer you stop, the harder picking it back up becomes you know.

I can't imagine I'm a joy to be around while under influence. Why are you so insistent on getting me drunk again?

As long as I'm able to defend myself, should I ever be attacked... that's fine. And I like to think that in 10 years I'll still be able to throw a decent punch.

Martial arts skills can and will deteriorate without frequent practice, and you’re more competitive by nature than you seem to be giving yourself credit for. I recall a time where you very much enjoyed a good spar.

Don't get too ahead of schedule, Hirakoba-kun. Also, I've been looking after a team prone to reverting to screaming toddlers for years without it impacting my competitive streak.

That depends on the type of cases you'd end up assigned to, I imagine. Being especially well-trained seems like it would be a boon in cases involving dangerous individuals.

Anything worth doing is worth doing fashionably. Besides, if there was ever a place to try and leave a good impression in that regard, it is Paris. If I'm fortunate with my timing I might be able to catch some interesting ongoing shows while I am there.

If I knew I would tell you. As is, it is anybody's guess. I do not think of myself as particularly fluffy, however.
